Fort Washington Estates Civic Association (FWECA) is an unincorporated, nonpartisan organization of residents united to maintain and improve our quality of life, public safety and neighborhood attractiveness. Membership is voluntary and open to all residents of Fort Washington Estates (also known as Captain's Cove).

We are neighbors working together to improve community life. To help members get to know each other and stay informed, the association hosts three or four community gatherings each year, issue newsletters and maintain this website. The association cancelled most of its community group activities for fiscal year 2019-2020 in an effort to keep residents safe during the Covid-19 Pandemic. It is the intent of the

association to reschedule some of these gatherings during the upcoming calendar year. We will follow local and state guidelines when planning and executing these events.

Dues for fiscal year 2023-2024 are $20 per household. An annual General Meeting is held in June at the District VII Police Station and is open to members and non-members, however only members can vote on matters such as the annual budget and to elect board members.

If you live in Captain’s Cove, please join FWECA and volunteer to join a committee to help carry out the ongoing work of the association! It’s fun and a great way to meet more of your neighbors, while improving the neighborhood for all!
